  A more low-key zoo experience. Not as much hustle and bustle. True to the name, more like a farm with a large variety of exotic and regional animals!

  Great experience to share with kids of all ages. Printed off the question sheets they kindly posted on their website (resource section) and we had fun answering them while we waited for our meal at a nearby restaurant in Coldbrook after. Inexpensive entry for a family as long as you don't buy the cute stuffed Toys before you leave. ;) Opportunity to feed a bear and watch lions getting fed if you hit supper hour - definitely a unique experience and worth timing your visit around.

  Went up for a visit and decided to take the drive from downtown Halifax to the Oakland farm and I must say it was well worth it. Very nice set up and a wide range of animals.

  A Fantastic place for a day out. Very friendly staff. They show real care for all the animals. It's big enough to have some good exhibits but small enough to feel very personal. The owner is always walking around with her pugs and very happy to speak to you.

  This is a great place to visit.This is a beautiful zoo .This zoo is very clean and well maintained .The admission rates are reasonable .They Open Easter Weekend to mid-November.This zoo has great collection of animals.We went there as a group.We all got a chance to feed a bear.That was cool.The owner was very friendly and explained about the animals and their routines.Great place to capture beautiful photos .
